2nd Energy Systems Modelling workshop in Asuncion, Paraguay

KTH Division of Energy Systems Analysis in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs ( UNDESA ), and Paraguay´s Ministry of Planning for Development ( STP ) conducted the second Energy Systems Modelling workshop in Asuncion, Paraguay. The workshop, held on the week of 18th-22th September, counted with the participation of 15 government officials from several ministries and agencies (STP, ANDE, VMME, ITAIPU, POLI/UNA).
The second workshop built on the OSeMOSYS energy systems model developed for Paraguay in the first training with the addition of the representation of the transport sector and the improvement of the biofuel production chain. In addition, the participants were involved in several hands-on sessions investigating various scenarios for the development of the energy system of Paraguay. KTH dESA researchers and were the instructors of the workshop, along with Thomas Alfstad from UNDESA, and Silvia Ulloa from UNDP.
