Building capacity on CLEWs analysis in Nicaragua

Workshop conducted by trainers from UNDESA, IAEA and KTH-dESA
The first workshop on CLEWs was held in Managua, Nicaragua, in the last week of February and conducted by trainers from UNDESA, IAEA and KTH-dESA. Participants from different governmental institutions were trained on the CLEWs framework applied to the national context of Nicaragua and had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how sectors are interlinked and how interactions can be represented and investigated. The training also included the presentation of the first results of the CLEWs assessment of Nicaragua, with special focus on the water systems analysis performed with WEAP. The workshop was organised by UNDESA, the Ministerio de Hacienda y Credito Publico (Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Nicaragua), and INETER (Nicaraguan Institute for Territorial Studies).
