Dissemination meetings of the CLEWs analysis in Nicaragua

Featuring OSeMOSYS and CLEWs trainings
The final workshop for the dissemination of the CLEWs analysis for Nicaragua was held in Managua, on 1-2 of March. The first day of the workshop was dedicated to the presentation of policy notes and findings from the long-term capacity building effort, which started in 2015, lead by UNDESA in support national institutions. Presentations were made by the government officials that participated in the economy-wide, OSeMOSYS and CLEWs trainings, the latter two in collaboration with KTH-dESA. On the second day of the dissemination workshop, attendees were guided through short hands-on sessions that aimed at exploring selected results of the use of each modelling tool. The dissemination workshop was organised by UNDESA and the Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Publico (MHCP, Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Nicaragua), and included the participation of government officials from MHCP, INETER (Institute for Territorial Studies of Nicaragua), Ministerio de Energía y Minas (Ministry of Energy and Mines) and Banco Central de Nicaragua (Central Bank of Nicaragua).
