KTH researcher is a lead author in the GEO-7 report
In March 2023, hundreds of environmental experts gathered in Bangkok, Thailand, for the first authors' meeting of the Seventh Edition of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) of the UN Environment Programme. Dr Maryna Henrysson from KTH's department of Energy Technology was one of them.
Maryna Henrysson , a senior researcher at the Department of Energy Technology, was one of the hundreds of environmental experts gathered in Bangkok in March 2023. They were to proceed with the GEO-7 report, and Henrysson is the lead author for one of the Chapters on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)*.
The Global Environment Outlook (GEO) is often called the flagship for environmental assessment among the United Nations Environment Programmes. In March 2022, UNEA approved the production of the Seventh Edition of the Global Environment Outlook, UNEP's flagship report. And in March 2023, it was time for the first Global Author's Meeting.
For the next three years, Henrysson will contribute to the chapter on SDGs, focusing on responsible consumption and production, innovation, cities and the circular economy and the impact of environmental change on achieving the goals.
When not working with the GEO-7 report, Maryna Henrysson is a senior researcher engaged in the circular economy, urban and energy systems at the Department of Energy Technology, KTH.
We are very proud of Maryna Henrysson's work and wish her good luck!
