The United National Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) held the 25th Session of the Committee on Sustainable Energy in September. The agenda featured a reality check on the energy transition, energy efficiency, renewable energy and fossil fuels in the context of the energy-related Sustainable Development Goals. Prof. Mark Howells, KTH-dESA director, was invited to make key interventions together with colleagues from IIASA, RMI, Tyndall Centre, the Club of Rome and others.
