Workshop on modelling tools for Sustainable Development

Researchers from KTH-dESA, in collaboration with UNDP, conducted a week-long workshop on ‘Modeling tools – integrated approaches for sustainable development’ in Istanbul - Turkey. The Integrated CLEWs assessment module, hosted on Github , was used for this workshop. The web-based visualization tool representing the Mauritius Case study was used to take the participants through the different modelling exercises. The objective of the workshop was to emphasize the importance of an integrated and systemic approach to modelling when devising national policies to achieve the SDGs. To this end, open source and country-relevant policy-making tools are made accessible to policy makers. The list of participants included policy makers and UNDP representatives from middle-income economies of Central Asia
