New publication in Nature Energy
Discusses challenges and policy options to overcome energy poverty in Europe
More than more than 50 million people in Europe were experiencing energy poverty in 2018.
In a new Nature Energy publication
, KTH-dESA´s
, together with researchers from the
University of Stuttgart
,
UCC
and
UCL
discuss the scale of the energy poverty issue in the EU, and propose ways forward. Among others, the paper identifies the role of strong EU leadership to solidify legislation and catalyze action on energy poverty. To do so, it suggests four key areas of action: prescriptive measures, clear definitions, strategic action and data access.
