This visit is a part of a larger two-days program "NAVIGATING ENERGY SECURITY IN A DECARBONIZED FUTURE", where the leading Swedish energy actors will meet their Polish colleagues for a knowledge exchange.

A group of highly-ranked visitors from the Polish Energy sector will be visiting the Department of Energy Technology at KTH in the end of May. This visit is a part of a larger two-days program "NAVIGATING ENERGY SECURITY IN A DECARBONIZED FUTURE", where the leading Swedish energy actors, such as Swedish Energy Agency, Swedish Ministry of Energy, Stockholm Exergi, Göteborgs Energi and KTH will meet their Polish colleagues from the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment, Uniper, PGE Energia Ciepła, Orlen Termika PGNiG and Warsaw Municipality.

This collaboration continues since last year in December, when KTH Professor Björn Palm together with the representatives from Stockholm Exergi and Siemens Energy (Sweden) visited Poland for sharing Swedish experience of district heating systems.

During the May 2025 visit, the Swedish participants will present their experience on district heating with the focus on heat pumps as a part of the district heating system as well as gas turbines and combined heat and power (co-generation), which will continue with the panel discussions with sharing insights and knowledge exchange.

From the KTH side the visitors will be hosted by Professor Björn Palm, Professor Björn Laumert and Dr. Jens Fridh, who will be presenting KTH research and their view on district heating, combined heat and power and gas turbines, from a Swedish perspective.
